Carpet Cleaning Questions, Answered Straight

The answers we give on the phone every day — written down so you can check us against them.

How much does carpet cleaning cost in the Seattle area?

Most homes run $45–$65 per room with a three-room minimum. Whole-home cleans for a typical 3-bedroom usually land between $250 and $450 depending on square footage, soil level, stairs, and pet treatment. We quote a firm price before any work begins — see our full Seattle pricing guide on the blog for details.

How long does carpet take to dry after cleaning?

Lightly walkable in about 4 hours with clean socks; fully dry in 6–12 hours depending on airflow, humidity, and carpet thickness. We run extra dry passes on every job and can place air movers to speed things up in our damp climate.

Is hot water extraction better than dry cleaning or shampooing?

For deep soil removal, yes — it's the method most carpet manufacturers recommend and often require for warranty coverage. Low-moisture methods have their place (commercial maintenance between deep cleans), but shampooing leaves residue that attracts dirt back quickly.

Are your cleaning products safe for kids and pets?

Yes. Our standard solutions are non-toxic and we rinse thoroughly so no sticky residue remains. Carpets are safe for kids and pets as soon as they're dry.

Can you remove pet urine odor permanently?

If the contamination is in the carpet fiber or pad, yes — our enzyme saturation process breaks it down at the source rather than masking it. If urine has reached the subfloor we'll tell you honestly and walk you through options, including pad replacement.

Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive?

No — we move light furniture as part of the job and work around large pieces. Clearing small items, toys, and breakables from the floor before we arrive keeps things moving.

How often should carpets be professionally cleaned?

Every 12–18 months for a typical household; every 6–12 months with kids, pets, or allergies. Many carpet warranties require professional hot water extraction on a similar schedule.

Do you provide receipts for move-out cleanings?

Yes — an itemized invoice showing the address, date, method, and any pet treatment. It's exactly the documentation landlords and property managers in Washington expect for deposit files.

Do you serve businesses as well as homes?

Yes — offices, retail, and multi-unit common areas from Seattle to the Kent Valley, cleaned after hours with certificates of insurance provided to building management.

What areas do you serve?

Central Seattle (Madrona, Beacon Hill, Columbia City) south through Renton, Tukwila, Burien, SeaTac, Des Moines, and Kent. If you're just outside those areas, call anyway — if we can route you in, we will.
