What "Deep Cleaning" Actually Means
Most of what's making your carpet look tired isn't on the surface. It's dry soil — grit, skin cells, pet dander, and Seattle mud — packed down at the base of the fibers. A vacuum gets some of it. A rental machine gets a little more and adds soap it can't remove.
